Günther Förg was an abstract German painter, sculptor and photographer whose works reveal a lifelong fascination with modernism. His photographs are characterized by grainy film, idiosyncratic perspectives and a painterly style. His works are, among others, part of the collections of the Hamburger Bahnhof - Contemporary Art Museum in Berlin, the Bonn Art Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt am Main and the Gallery for Contemporary Art in Leipzig.
